Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Stellar Solutions is seeking a Senior GPS Advanced Technology Systems Engineer to support the design and implementation of ground-based User Equipment (UE) PNT capabilities to the nation's warfighters and our allies. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize Global Positioning Systems (GPS) UE and help to integrate it with our allies. You will perform Receiver Handling and Integration Reviews (RHIRs) and site security surveys. You'll coordinate the development and implementation of security cooperation and assistance in support of the program office, including planning, communication, outreach, and foreign customer support services.

You'll build your skills in developing and acquiring GPS UE systems while gaining experience with delivering sustained, reliable GPS capabilities. Required skills:

    8+ years of experience in the specification and evaluation of space receivers, including the development of top-level architectures for advanced systems and preparation or review of Technical Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents, Test Plans or Procedures, and Test Reports
  • Experience with laboratory and field testing of prototype and operational military systems, including those incorporating GPS or other navigation capabilities such as development and evaluation of Test Plans or Procedures, Test Reports, and on-site test support
  • Experience in the application of adaptive signal processing techniques for enhancement of military systems performance in stressed signal environments such as jamming and spoofing
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • TS/SCI

Desired skills

  • 8+ years of experience in the specification and evaluation of GPS UE, including the development of top-level architectures for NAVWAR advanced technology-based systems and preparation or review of Technical Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents, Test Plans or Procedures, and Test Reports
  • Experience working with foreign clients and export control, including International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) issues
  • Experience analyzing and assessing international security cooperation policy
  • Knowledge of Military GPS UE and Protected Positioning Service (PPS) signals
  • Knowledge of GPS PPS Security Policies, specifically as they relate to Foreign Military Sale (FMS)
  • Ability to work with foreign nations, including their developers and integrators, to assess conformance to U.S. GPS PPS Security Policy such as Facility Security, Third-Party Transfers, Demilitarization, Inventory Control, and Accountability
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving, research, and analysis skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field

This position is Hybrid and expected to be periodically on site in El Segundo, CA and will require travel up to 25% of time within the continental United States

The typical salary range for this position is USD $125,000 - $190,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual salary).

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
