POSITION SUMMARY The Principal Healthcare Supply Chain Specialist will oversee work on large projects related to capital and supply products and will lead Sourcing projects, which will include coordinating calls with ECRI analysts, engineers, and clients; reviewing vendor RFP responses; and making purchase decision recommendations based on technical specifications, quoted pricing, and proposed service and support options. The Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving comparative capital and supply reports to ensure technical accuracy and proper clinical focus before they are sent to clients. In addition, the Specialist will work with Team Managers to develop new reports and service offerings, will support the Sales team by performing demos and providing sales pitch and selling strategies, and will attend and present at trade shows and conferences. The Principal Healthcare Supply Chain Specialist is a subject matter expert who will assist in all aspects of developing the Global Supply Chain Solutions team to represent ECRI's mission-driven values and continue to meet the ever-evolving needs of ECRI's member organizations. ECRI is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in acute care nursing and knowledge related to the use of all types of equipment used in the hospital setting. The SME will work with ECRI's technology teams and managers to create, edit, and review a variety of written reports to assist healthcare facilities when acquiring medical equipment and supplies. The SME will also assist ECRI members by providing clinical guidance, addressing technical questions, and recommending equipment, models, and products that best meet their requirements. Essential Functions:

Analyzes medical technology price quotations for capital, supply, and services from a financial perspective and provides hospitals with information and resources to facilitate price negotiations with vendors.

Analyzes utilization trends cross department and/or facility to reveal opportunities for utilization optimization that may result in cost savings and/or reduced waste.

Analyzes market alternatives and market share data to reveal potential opportunities for standardization/market shifts or to mitigate disruptions with technologies or supplies.

Identifies purchase, lease/rental, and service contract pricing benchmarks using ECRI's internal database applications.

Assists ECRI member facilities with capital inventory, planning, and budgeting

Routinely surveys client requests and feedback to identify trends, deficits, etc. Proactively encourages the use of services to clients in correlation with other requests when opportunities present themselves. Collects specific client feedback whenever possible.

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Experience:
|
- Five years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital; or having a demonstrated understanding of industry standards pertaining to acute care equipment orrelated field desirable. Specific experience working in an Intensive Care, Operating Room, or Nursing Education setting preferred (Strong knowledge of all current nursing procedures, methods and practices, preferred).

- Patient care experience and clinical certifications (preferred but not required). Previous experience evaluating new typesof equipment and supplies, providing input during trials, and assisting during implementation and training.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with various types of medical equipment, including infusion pumps, patient monitors, hospital beds, medication dispensing cabinets, POC test devices, etc.

- Ability to express self effectively and concisely both orally and in writing and to quickly grasp the operating principles of previously unfamiliar technology.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), Business, Life Sciences, Health Policy, English, Mathematics, or Supply Chain/Procurement preferred.

POSITION COMPENSATION The salary range for new employees in this position is $70,252.97 - $79,737.12, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO). PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
