We are looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team to support the Tactical Innovation and Experimentation Lab for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems in Huntsville, AL.



Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will include:

    Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD Infrastructure and tools.
  • Collaborating with software engineers to understand and identify critical areas for security implementation in the development process.
  • Automating security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management systems in deployment pipelines.
  • Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
  • Security management.
  • Documenting system configuration.
  • Troubleshooting anomalies.
  • Supporting Approval to Operate (ATO) requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
  • 5+ years of experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Linux computer systems
  • Experience in configuration and management of physical and/or virtual machine environments
  • Basic network knowledge
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing customer environment in a closed lab
  • Must be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • A focus on the needs of the customer and the team
  • An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9 experience.
  • Experience with OpenShift.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation.
  • Experience with DoD security compliance (NIST 800-171, CMMC, DISA STIGs). *
  • Experience in scripting languages.
  • Experience in Layer 2/Layer 3 switching/routing, management of Cisco devices, and working knowledge of firewall technologies.
  • Experience supporting RMF security plans, procedures, and compliance.
  • Experience with any of the following: NetApp, VEEAM, Gitla.
