Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is looking for an on call Transportation Technician to join us! This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team in our Orlando, FL office with our Data Collection department. The expected hours for this position can vary from 10-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

    Counting vehicles at intersections (manually or via video)
  • Placing rubber tubes in road to count traffic
  • Deploying cameras at intersections (download/upload videos)
  • Sketches, digital photographs, and other field data information
  • Maintaining data collection equipment and vehicles (regular oil changes, tune-ups, etc.)

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in safely and efficiently
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn how to operate new devices and software quickly
  • Ability to work within timeframe and deadlines, and follow strict procedure and safety guidelines
  • Must have reliable transportation and cellphone
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team oriented with strong capability to work independently

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in data collection
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess an active driver's license
  • Must have open availability and flexible with scheduling and must communicate with manager regarding schedules on a regular basis
