Under the direction of the Director of Community Health Services, this position researches, develops, plans and implements community-based non-clinical prevention programs designed to educate and motivate the community to make positive life-style choices. As a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist this role will master, supervise Per Diem Tobacco Educators that provide cessation counseling for inpatients, chronically ill outpatients and in Physician Offices. As A Matter of Balance (MOB) Master Trainer, the role will supervise MOB coaches

Position: Wellness Education Specialist

Shift: Full time- Salaried- Monday- Friday- occasional evening and weekend requirement.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in providing community health education. At least 2 years experience with program development/planning

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or Community Health. Master's Degree in Public Health or RN/BSN preferred. Expertise in smoking prevention and cessation.

Licensure/Cert: Driver's License. Must have own transportation. CPR Certification Tobacco Cessation Certification
