The Opportunity:
The Global Marketing team leads brand strategy, line development and sell-in, while delivering best-in-class marketing plans to fuel the business. We are currently seeking a Manager of Global Product & Brand Marketing to lead Masters of the Universe (MOTU)-Mattel's premier action figure IP. With over 40 years of iconic heritage and memorable mythology, MOTU has inspired generations of kids and adults alike, and it's gearing up for a 2026 theatrical!
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Product & Brand Marketing, the Manager will lead this dynamic segment of the action figure portfolio with insights and passion.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Manage the Masters of the Universe action figure line, working in close collaboration with Product Design, Packaging, Development, and other cross-functional team members to bring compelling toys to market on time and on budget.
- Position MOTU for success-executing a strong collector strategy, maximizing brand collaborations, and unleashing the power of the upcoming film to break through with new audiences.
- Build long-term brand plans in partnership with Franchise Marketing.
- Serve as the key marketing contact for our external partners. Lead day-to-day communications, product presentations, and more.
- Collaborate with Mattel's commercial teams around the world to ensure the needs of all regions are met through product and marketing. Work closely with these teams to achieve global shipping and POS goals.
- Manage a global marketing budget. Optimize advertising and promotions to drive ROI.
- Utilize business savvy, consumer empathy, and a collaborative mindset to develop culturally relevant, insight-driven, integrated marketing plans with clear objectives, strategies, tactics and KPIs.
- Orchestrate brand building activities across Influencer, PR, Social, and Mattel Creations.
- Oversee Action Figure content development, including stop motion video, behind-the-scenes interviews, photo shoots, and other creative assets to support brand initiatives and program the MOTU social channels.
- Embody the brand perspective and voice, serving as reviewer and approver of assets across platforms and countries.
- Manage two Associate Marketing Managers. Support direct reports with workload management, prioritization, and consistent coaching on career development.
- Serve as a brand champion, with an eye toward growing awareness and building equity. You have the power to shape MOTU for the next generation of fans!
What We're Looking For:
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience with MBA or 6+ years of relevant work experience without MBA.
- Experience managing and collaborating with multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to effectively lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Skill in managing programs end-to-end. This is a leader who can:
- Craft a compelling vision and strategy
- Be creative yet analytical and financially oriented
- Be resourceful in addressing roadblocks
- Be fast, efficient, and effective with time management
- Execute strong
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be:
- Comfortable and confident presenting to large and senior level audiences

- A strong deck builder-able to effectively summarize detailed information into a presentation with clear narrative flow, succinct takeaways, and impactful visuals
- Demonstrated ability to manage external partnerships and collaborations.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $153,000.
