Position Overview

Our C&S Construction Practices continues to advance in the multi-family housing market. We are focused on quality and exceptional service for our clients. We are seeking an experience project leader that has proven experience in vertical multi-story construction industry. The ideal candidate will serve as primary client contact - from design input through project close-out. This position calls for strong abilities to grow, manage, lead, and collaborate with a team of technical professionals within our San Diego office.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Positive attitude and responsive customer service skills.
  • Create and execute project work plans and ensure complete task accountability.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project implementation, including individual tasking.
  • Manage estimating and pricing aspects of projects, create realistic and comprehensive estimates, and change pricing as needed.
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Effectively apply the C&S Companies methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Conduct complete buy out of project and ensure adequate bid leveling.
  • Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
  • Properly administer construction contracts and obtains all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise assistant managers, review their reports, check on any reported difficulties, and correct any safety violations or other reported deficiencies
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule and project profitability forecast, monitoring the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and holding regular status meetings.
  • Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking of team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines with use of Procore and/or Autodesk project management software.


Qualifications



  • Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science, or experience related to education.
  • Mandatory 5-8 years or more of experience in a Construction administrative or management role
  • Multi-family housing experience
  • Previous experience with and ability to develop accurate project estimates and pricing reports.
  • Experience with multi-family projects and plan review experience
  • Skillful oral and written communication skills


Estimated Compensation Range: $120,000 - 140,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
