Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the communications functions for the Public Service and Outreach unit at the University of Georgia. This position works closely with other communications professionals to coordinate production of content, write and edit content, and support production of development collateral to support communication strategy of the division. The successful candidate will have strong communications skills, experience writing and editing content for multiple platforms and an understanding of the development/ communications relationship. In addition, the individual will have strong organizational and technical skills to provide administrative and project support to the communications office. Familiarity with development a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Experience in writing, public relations, or marketing
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent copy editing skills
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
