Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Management Analyst with a focus on health systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare management, project coordination, and analytics within health systems such as the VA, DHA, or private healthcare organizations. This position requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure successful project execution and delivery for strategic healthcare accounts. This position will support the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to transform complex data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making processes in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

    Conduct in-depth analyses of healthcare systems, providing recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare operations.
  • Develop, standardize, and centralize healthcare performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and senior leadership to identify areas for improvement in healthcare delivery and operations.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in healthcare performance measures to support patient care enhancement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing healthcare resources and managing costs.
  • Support the development of tools, programs, and databases supporting managed healthcare systems prioritizing safety, quality, access, and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations on health system performance and improvement strategies.


Qualifications

**Education and Certifications:**

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (6) years of experience in healthcare management, preferably within VA, DHA, or private healthcare organizations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare metrics, data analytics, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize healthcare data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple healthcare projects simultaneously.

**Preferred:**

  • Experience in healthcare IT within a defense or federal setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Defense Health Agency (DHA) programs and initiatives.
  • Understanding of military health system (MHS) beneficiary population and related analytics.
  • Experience with healthcare data sources and developing actionable insights to support healthcare quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in working with SQL and other database management systems.
  • Familiarity with Data Management Framework (DMF) and Health Information Exchange (HIE) regulations.
  • Lean Six Sigma training certification.
  • Experience developing and using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within a healthcare setting.

Target salary range: $99,162 - $171,168
