PURPOSE OF POSITION: To deliver overall owner, guest, and employee satisfaction at Argent. Act as the full-time onsite property manager to ensure the successful operation of the Argent facility, HOA, and DVR rental program. Provide a safe environment by adhering to Deer Valley Resort Service and Safety Standards. Achieve budgeted profitability and exercise fiscal responsibility through sound management practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Team Management
  • Act as a liaison for all departments, working with all departments and department managers to foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • As a member of the Deer Valley management team, demonstrate and uphold all DVR policies and provide corrective discipline action when necessary
  • Ensure staff professionalism through coaching, adherence to dress codes, maintaining an uncluttered and well supplied workspace, proper training materials, and clear channels of communication
  • Attend and participate in daily and weekly department manager staff meetings
  • Lead association board and annual meetings, and participate in committees as assigned
  • Must be able to manage the staff required for the daily operations in Empire Pass, including the HOAs, management and rental management residences in contract with DVR&L


HOA & Facility Operations Oversight
  • Provide oversight related to all building management and maintenance issues: monitor maintenance projects to completion, including working with sub-contractors
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance program is carried out accordingly
  • Daily inspection of the property and physical assets
  • Have working knowledge of all department operations and cross train as needed
  • Life Safety/Loss Prevention - consistently implement high standards for all aspects of life safety, loss prevention, unit owner identity, and privacy protection


Owner & Guest Relations
  • Demonstrate proactive resolution with urgency, respect, and empathy. Document problems and resolutions and respond promptly to all owners and other requests
  • In conjunction with the Deer Valley Management team, serve as a primary point of contact for owners to alert the HOA of problems, complaints, infractions of rules, and suggestions
  • Send newsletters to all owners monthly
  • Act as a resource on information pertaining to Park City, Salt Lake City, and Utah in general
  • Furnish a welcoming atmosphere in the building for owners, guests, and staff to help promote a sense of family and community
  • Act as a community leader, focused on building relationships with owners and guests


Food & Beverage Programming
  • Plan and forecast activity levels for the continental breakfast and happy hour depending upon expected building occupancy. Order quantities of food and beverages that are appropriate based on this forecast
  • Create a revolving menu of high-quality food items that are consistent with the direction provided by the Argent Owners Association Management Committee
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and operate all Food and Beverage programming and services on property, including all set up and take down of food and beverage programming
  • Identify appropriate food vendors and create a purchasing strategy for food and beverage items that is consistent with the line-item budget allocated for food service
  • Coordinate, facilitate and operate all Food and Beverage programming and services on property. The specific F&B duties will be reviewed on an annual basis by the HOA Management Committee and General Manager


Administrative & Financial Accountability
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly accounting support for the HOA and DVR as needed
  • Develop and regularly monitor annual HOA budget to meet financial expectations
  • Review monthly financial statements, including balance sheet and profit and loss statements


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of two years management experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience managing employees, facilities, and HOAs strongly preferred
  • Food and Beverage experience highly preferred
  • This position is required to live on property full time. A one-bedroom residence is provided complimentary, including all utilities
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs., carry luggage, and have a valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of HOA management and specific governing documents
  • Have a general understanding of budgets, financial reporting and front office accounting procedures
  • Have or be willing to obtain PMC certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings if necessary
  • Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with Association Board of Directors, homeowners, guests, and staff
  • Possess superior problem-solving skills, accompanied by creative ideas to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with homeowners, staff, guests, and vendors, particularly when dealing with conflict resolution issues
  • Must be able to multi-task, be organized, and prioritize effectively
  • Genuine personality that can engage a diverse group of people on multiple levels


DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Year Round


PAY RATE:
  • $55,000 - 65,000 annually, dependent on experience, with included housing
