Job Description

We are looking for a VP, Retail Insights to redefine, launch and scale our retail insights function. You will be responsible for driving NIQ's Retail Vertical Insights mission through the delivery of thought-provoking, value-creating content for our retail partners, for building a high-performing team focused on generating critical client outcomes, and for the on-target delivery of your team's KPIs.

As a VP, Retail Insights you will:

  • Demonstrate retail expertise, leveraging experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) retail industry to deliver provocative, action-oriented insights, bridging the gap between retailer and manufacturer, making an impact across theCPG value chain
  • Leada team of analytics / insights associates successfully; guiding, coaching and developing teammembers to highstandards of professional competencies
  • Synthesize market research and trends into new insights and recommendations wrapped in a compelling story for client presentation
  • Partner closely with cross-functional peers to elevate the customer experience, including with the Account Director on strategic customer planning
  • Instill a growth mindset in your team, focusing on skills to uncover the most important businessquestions and delivery high-quality insights that exceed customer standards
  • Participate in client meetings to provide top-of-the-line Food Industryperspective, trends and opportunity
  • Grow executive level engagement achieved through strong insight generation and industry expertise
  • Support revenue targets through consistent lead generation and stable or improving conversion rates

A Little About You

You are a practitioner in the Retailindustry with knowledge and connections among retailers and brands. You confidently speak to the industry issues, consumer trends, and the needs of the industry players and you are energized by opportunities to engage large and senior level audiences. Your communication skills are top notch! You are able to interweave strategic points, engaging stories, and key data points to craft a compelling storyline. You lead with passion for your team's success, transferring these strengths to the team you lead, as a strong player-coach. You are comfortable utilizing insights and analytics and view them as a key component of product development, brand management, marketing and merchandising.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the Food industry from food manufacturing and/or CPG industry, with a plus for specific retail experience in value-driven collaborations
  • At least5 years' experience leading teams and ability to coach others in data analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management and experience working with complex client relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of the power indata analytics to drive brand building, marketing, retail merchandising and innovation
  • Experience working withsyndicated tools (NielsenIQor Circana, or similar panel, RMS/POS, scan data)
  • Proven track record of building client engagement and leading teams
  • Bachelor's Degreeor Master's Degree
Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $126,500-$185,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
