Van Driver - Helen Porter - Per Diem

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide transportation service for patients of Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing to medical appointments in the surrounding area.

Safely operate a 15-passenger van.

Safely and securely, load and unload patients in wheelchairs or with assistive devices, utilizing the ADA lift on the van.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Desire to professionally assist patients and ensure a favorable patient experience throughout the transportation process.

Maintain documentation of trip destinations and mileage.

Ability to monitor fuel levels and re-fuel van as needed.

EDUCATION:

Possess and maintain a valid Vermont driver's license.

Possess competent driving skills and a clean driving record.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or other health care setting desired.
