Overview

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting operations across multiple entities, including domestic and international subsidiaries. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and operational excellence in areas such as vendor management, accounts receivable, and consolidations. The Controller will lead at least one onshore accountant and several offshore accountants and be responsible for developing systems and processes that scale the company's growth.



Responsibilities

    Oversee general ledger operations and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Direct all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Manage vendor invoice processing, vendor payments, contract review, and new vendor registration protocols.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany eliminations and multi-entity consolidations, including foreign currency translations.
  • Oversee the monthly variance analysis and reporting packages to senior leadership.
  • Manage ownership tracking and reporting for complex equity structures, including redeemable controlling interests.
  • Oversee the process for uploading and reconciling financials from international entities, ensuring completeness and consistency for consolidated reporting.
  • Coordinate with foreign accounting teams to gather accurate and timely financial data for consolidation.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams to support financial planning, audits, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows, documentation standards, and ERP system usage.
  • Support external audits and prepare all necessary audit schedules and documentation.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team to build technical expertise and strong business acumen.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for automation or process enhancements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA designation (strongly preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, and financial reporting for multi-entity structures.
  • Experience with international operations and currency conversions.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement scalable processes and lead change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing accounting for hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity corporate groups.
  • Familiarity with equity accounting, foreign entity uploads, and investor reporting.
  • Public accounting background (Big Four or regional firm) a plus.
