Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Early Careers Recruiter to join our Early Career Talent Acquisition team, reporting directly to the Head of Early Career Talent Acquisition. This role will support the recruitment strategy for key functions across our Finance organization-including Corporate Finance, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Actuarial, and Investments-and will play a critical role in building a strong and diverse pipeline of future talent. As part of a collaborative team, you will execute full-cycle campus recruitment efforts and contribute to the overall success of New York Life's early talent attraction strategy. You'll serve as a strategic partner to both business stakeholders and the Early Career Lead, ensuring alignment between functional talent needs and broader recruiting initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Campus Recruiting Execution
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for interns and early career hires across assigned business areas (e.g., Corporate Finance, ALM, Actuarial, and Investments).
- Execute recruitment activities in alignment with the broader early talent strategy set by the Early Career Lead.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process.
University Engagement & Brand Building
- Partner with the Early Career Lead to build and maintain strong relationships with universities and student organizations.
- Represent New York Life at live events, on-campus events, and virtual recruiting engagements to elevate brand presence.
- Travel approximately 25% to support in-person engagement.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and business stakeholders to understand talent needs and provide strategic recruiting support.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, DEI teams, and the Early Career Program Manager to ensure alignment and continuity across the early talent lifecycle.
- Support efforts to enhance inclusive hiring within the early career pipeline.
Program Support & Candidate Experience
- Partner with the Early Career Program Manager and broader team to deliver a seamless onboarding and internship.
- Support professional development and engagement initiatives as part of the summer internship program.
Reporting & Insights
- Leverage recruitment data and candidate tracking tools to provide insights and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the applicant tracking system (e.g., SuccessFactors, Eightfold).
What You'll Bring: Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with 3+ years of experience in campus or early careers recruiting or Human Resources or Career Services (experience within financial services or investments is a plus).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruiting efforts simultaneously.
- Experience planning and executing large-scale recruitment events and university partnerships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a polished, professional presence.
- Comfortable working with data and using insights to inform decisions and strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting recruiting efforts for finance, actuarial, or investment functions.
- Familiarity with employer branding through social media and digital platforms.
- Understanding student visa considerations and work authorization processes.
- Passion for early talent development and building a best-in-class candidate experience.
Pay Transparency Salary Range:$64,400-$81,200 Overtime eligible:Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes Sales bonus eligible:No Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
