Activation Project Manager

Avis is transforming the car rental experience through Project Compass, a bold initiative to implement technology that improves operational efficiency. From inventory automation to issue tracking, this project aims to enhance workflows and enable business scaling across our locations.

The Activation Project Manager will oversee the rollout of Project Compass to new markets, ensuring seamless implementation at each location. This role requires managing deployment schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, and proactively addressing challenges to drive successful adoption.

• Plan and execute the deployment of Project Compass at multiple sites.
• Manage key activities from location readiness checklist for each site, ensuring all locations are prepared for deployment.
• Coordinate with site leads, logistics teams, IT support and other stakeholders as needed to ensure seamless deployment.
• Manage deployment schedules, resources, and logistics to meet project timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with deployment activities.
• Provide support and guidance to local teams during the deployment process.
• Monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during deployment.
• Collect feedback and lessons learned to improve future deployment strategies.

• Strong project management experience, particularly in technology or operational deployments.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
• Experience in risk management and problem-solving in deployment contexts.
• Ability to travel and work on-site as required by project needs.
