The Department of Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Professors Robert Tilton, Stephen Garoff and Aditya Khair welcome applications for a postdoctoral researcher who will investigate biological oil interactions with and transport within aqueous foams under confinement. Experimental methods emphasize optical microscopy and image analysis. The candidate should have experimental experience with surfactant systems, with some preference for experience with foams and/or imaging methods. The initial contract will be for two years with the opportunity for renewal for up to one additional year, subject to performance and the availability of funds. The starting date is flexible, but July 2025 is desired. Applications will be reviewed starting June 23, 2025, but will remain open until the position is filled.
