TEMPORARY SUMMER UTILITY OPERATOR

Under general supervision performs daily and other related duties following established methods and procedures.

1. Assists EQS Utility Operators in clean up throughout the facility.
2. Will fill-in as Bottom Pour Setup, as needed.
3. Will be required to shovel and sweep around the facility - including Steelmaking, Bottom Pour, Shipping, Remelt and outside.
4. Will run forklift/bobcat/sweeper, as needed to assist in cleaning the facility or unloading trucks and/or moving material for cleaning (this only applies to applicants aged 18 and over).
5. Completes daily mobile equipment and crane safety checklists, if running that equipment.
6. Assists other departments as needed with miscellaneous tasks.
7. Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
8. Must have ability and desire to work with others.
9. Meets attendance requirements.
10. Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.

SCHEDULE: Will work mainly 6:30/7:00 am - 2:30/3:00 pm. Monday thru Friday - some 12 hour shifts, overtime, and weekends may be required.

OTHER:

• Must be clean shaven and remain without facial hair that will interfere with the surface area covered by the required N-95 respirator.
• Ability to work overtime and up to 12 hours per day, as required.
• Ability to work around heat.
• Ability to work at heights and possible working in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Ability to work on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to use computer.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

Will be required to submit to a criminal background check, physical, and a drug screening will be required upon offer of temporary employment. Must provide proof of GED/HS Diploma upon hire.
