About the role
As Senior Manager of Product Operations at Datavant, you will play a critical role in operationalizing our Product Operating Model across strategy, planning, development, and delivery. Reporting to the VP of Product Operations, you will help drive executional excellence through scalable processes, tools, and cross-functional coordination.
In this role you will:
- Set the rhythm by leading Datavant's product operating cadence, including quarterly and annual planning, roadmap development, and the overall product development lifecycle (PDLC). You'll ensure consistent execution and alignment across teams.
- Build scalable systems by designing and maintaining playbooks, frameworks, dashboards, and documentation that drive clarity and accountability throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Enable strategic decisions by guiding initiative scoping, facilitating prioritization processes, and delivering data-driven reports that support product and leadership decision-making.
- Facilitate alignment by coordinating key forums such as Quarterly Roadmap reviews and working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other teams to surface priorities, resolve blockers, and move initiatives forward.
- Create transparency by owning centralized documentation of roadmaps, release timelines, and onboarding resources-ensuring stakeholders always have access to reliable, up-to-date information.
- Measure progress by partnering with Product Managers and Finance on KPIs, headcount allocations, software capitalization and ROI.
- Streamline workflows by identifying friction points and improving tools like Jira, Confluence, and homegrown systems to enhance productivity, collaboration, and reporting.
- Champion customer orientation by helping Product and Product Marketing teams collect and integrate voice-of-the-customer insights into prioritization, planning, and release readiness processes.
About You
- You have 8+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or equivalent roles, ideally within high-growth, tech-enabled organizations.
- You are energized by getting things done. You set ambitious goals, break them down into achievable pieces, and consistently deliver. Vision and execution go hand in hand for you.
- You're a systems thinker who sees the connections between tools, teams, and outcomes. You love building operational infrastructure that helps product teams thrive. You have a keen sense of how small changes can create downstream impact and can architect improvements that scale across the org.
- You are proactive. You anticipate blockers before they arise, keep stakeholders informed, and step up wherever there's a gap. You take ownership with a "no job is too small" mindset and enjoy turning ambiguity into action.
- You are organized and detail-oriented. You take pride in owning the full lifecycle of an initiative and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Others feel confident when you are leading a project, and you are known for following through with precision.
- You are an exceptional communicator. Whether facilitating a quarterly planning session or sharing a written product update, you ensure your message is clear and aligned to the audience. You've led cross-functional meetings and understand how to drive clarity, alignment, and momentum across diverse stakeholders.
- You can design scalable workflows that improve velocity and visibility. You bring structure to chaos by creating intuitive, repeatable processes that teams actually want to use, and you're always iterating based on feedback and performance.
- You are customer-oriented. You advocate for the voice of the customer in product planning and delivery, and understand how to work with go-to-market and Product Marketing teams to ensure customer needs are heard and reflected in how we build.
- You're comfortable as a Jira admin. You can build and maintain dashboards, configure workflows, and create reports that empower teams and support leadership decision-making. You also bring a critical eye to tool setup and aren't afraid to recommend changes that increase usability and value.
