Overview
This position will work on a number of projects directed by an Extension faculty in Salt Lake County that involve developing materials to promote community outreach and enhance programming and educational efforts. This individual will develop and update educational content and promotional materials for programming that supports students, parents, and schools.

This position is hybrid telework eligible within the state of Utah.

Responsibilities
  • Write, edit, and coordinate the development of promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures.
  • Create compelling educational content across digital and print platforms, including manuals, handouts, PowerPoints, social media posts, email campaigns, blog articles, and website copy.
  • Design graphics for use in print and digital content.
  • Translate complex or technical topics into digestible, engaging, and actionable educational content for varied audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a library of educational resources such as presentations, handouts, worksheets, manuals, and guides.
  • Develop templates and standards for recurring content types (e.g., FAQs, how-to guides, lesson plans) to streamline production and maintain quality.
  • Collaborate with web developers, designers, and stakeholders to plan, build, and launch website projects, ensuring alignment with branding and user experience goals; write, edit, and maintain clear, engaging website copy to support community engagement and programming.
  • Keep websites, event pages, and social media up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist with the coordination and occasional onsite implementation of program activities including workshops, classes, conferences, and community events.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience using creative design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media marketing, and educational content development.
