Project Title

Procurement Process Improvements and Documentation

Project Overview

This project aims to develop a comprehensive procurement manual that outlines processes and procedures through process flows, decision trees, standard work, and templates. Currently, no formal manual exists to guide buyers in executing tasks, daily management or tracking process and procedure performance. By providing structured work instructions and documented examples, this manual will establish clear guidelines and expectations ensuring consistency and efficiency in procurement operations. Background in industrial engineering is preferred due to the technical writing skills of the role however supply chain and operations majors would have the knowledge needed to integrate into the team and be successful.

  1. Learn and document procurement process to develop procurement manual
  2. Integrate into the procurement team to capture the daily tasks to develop standard work
  3. Identify ways to streamline processes
  4. Develop and implement daily management tools
  5. Establish objective and subjective metrics to track team and process performance

Required Qualifications

  • Currently in final year of school or within 1 year of graduating with Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related fields.
  • Currently holds3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Available to work 30+ hours per week.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (i.e MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Experince with ERP software (i.e. Oracle SAP, JD Edwards, etc.)
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements.

Compensation Data

Compensation: $25.00/hr
