Project Title

Archiving, Website Optimization, Marketing and Display Area Enhancement Initiative

Project Overview

This project seeks to modernize the organization's resources by digitizing hard copy materials (such as old photos and newsletters), creating a centralized digital repository, enhancing the transparencies section of the GKN website to improve accessibility and engagement and refreshing the display area in the corporate building in alignment with overall corporate branding. Additionally, the intern will design a series of marketing materials that highlight the organization's unique capabilities, aiding marketing and business development efforts. These combined initiatives aim to preserve the organization's legacy, improve functional efficiency, and strengthen the site's competitive edge in the marketplace.

The project aligns with the broader goals of improving efficiency, reducing resource costs, and establishing a consistent and professional brand presence.

Main Project Deliverables

  1. Collect, categorize, and digitize hard copy materials, including old photos, newsletters, and archived content.
  2. Develop and maintain a user-friendly digital repository for storing and accessing archived materials.
  3. Enhance the transparency section of the GKN website by:

    • Updating outdated information.
    • Designing new web pages or sections to showcase archived materials and marketing content.
    • Improving the overall user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).


  4. Create a series of professional flyers and marketing materials that highlight organizational strengths.
  5. Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to align website enhancements and marketing content with branding guidelines.
  6. Update the display area in the corporate building to provide a refreshed area and align with GKN global branding and goals (E.g. sustainability etc.)



Expected Deliverables:



  • A fully functional and organized digital repository.
  • A modernized website with updated content and improved functionality.
  • A minimum of 3-5 new marketing flyers or materials emphasizing unique organizational capabilities.
  • A proposal for a refreshed and updated display area (execution may not be part of the project).

Required Qualifications

Currently in final year of school or within 1 year of graduating with Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Development or a related fields.



  • Currently holds3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Available to work 30+ hours per week.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva).
  • Experience in website design and/or content management.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements.

Compensation Data

Compensation: $25.00/hr
