Description:

Join our growing team as an Administrative Assistant! This person will greet visitors, receive incoming telephone calls and fax transmissions, handle incoming mail, be responsible for ordering of supplies, filing, data input and tracking and provide clerical support and assists with projects as delegated.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets all visitors and directs them to the appropriate person.
  • Answers all incoming calls in a pleasant and proper manner and directs them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Opens mail and distributes it to the appropriate person or area.
  • Assists with filing of correspondence or clinical documentation as requested.
  • Performs data entry and tracking.
  • Assists with orientation, new client case set ups, staff annual training, staff mailings, ordering of office and clinical supplies.
  • Performs Medicaid/Insurance coverage verification checks.
  • Follows up on pending unresolved coverage or billing issues as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication to accomplish agency and client goals
  • Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures with professional standards
  • Maintains client, employee, and agency confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Reports all client concerns to the Director or Clinical Manager as appropriate immediately.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and/or assigned.
  • May perform back up duties for the Staffing Coordinator including on-call.
  • Reports any suspected client abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to Director or Clinical Manager.
  • Accepts responsibility for personal and professional development.
  • Complies with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
  • Reports to work as scheduled
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous office experience, preferably in health care.
