That is why we are currently seeking an HR Generalist located in our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.

Position Summary:

As an HR Generalist, you will have the responsibility for administering and interpreting corporate policies and HR policies and approvals for two expanding business units. You will utilize critical thinking to partner with HR leaders, managers and sometimes employees to identify root causes of human resources issues. You will work closely with our HR Business Partners in the execution of compensation, benefits, talent management and succession planning activities within a client organization. As a critical prat of our team, you may also provide research for employee relations issues and act as project lead for specific HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide research and backup documentation for internal investigations and may participate in the investigation.
  • Execute employee job changes and related activities in our HR systems.
  • Execute agreed to salary recommendations for promotions, lateral moves and demotions as determined by Manager and our HR team.
  • Utilize a detail oriented mindset to ensure employee files are updated with all relevant information.
  • Request headcount based on business unit / division growth and/or productivity needs.
  • Effectively utilize shared tools and processes to collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Team, HR Solution Center and Compensation.
  • Request internal system approvals for employee-related activities e.g. New Hires, Transfers, Promotions.
  • Utilize an understanding of performance management processes, talent acquisition processes and total rewards practices to understand downstream impact.
  • May counsel employees on career development and may coach other generalists who join.
  • Administer programs that manage turnover in partnership with the broader HR team.
  • Implement or coordinate programs to increase employee satisfaction including ensuring first day orientation in the offices is coordinated and onboarding buddies are engaged.


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor degree with 6 plus years of proven success in an HR capacity where employee experience is a focus.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with employees, peers and leadership teams.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize accordingly while deriving solutions to barriers or communicating expectations.
  • Experience utilizing various HR policies, laws and systems.
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain accurate details as LG continues to expand.

Recruiting Range
$72,000 - $85,000 USD
