Role Name: Senior Systems Programmer Location: Columbia, SC (Partial Onsite - at least 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) and as needed.) Duration: 6-12 months C2 Eligibility is Required Schedule: Standard Hours - 8:00Am -4:30pm Monday - Friday. Overtime, on call, weekends, and off hours as needed once fully trained Day to Day: Resolving test and production issues that arise Working on customer requests such as creating a new queue, queue manager & changing queue depth Working on a multitude of projects ranging from installing the latest release of MQ to configuring MQ on servers Working with error reports and handling multiple tasks at the same time Internal monitoring such as checking queue depth Job Requirements: Required Experience: 6 Years' IT work experience including varied systems programming experience. Required EDU: Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job related field or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. Required Software and Tools (Hands on experience required): JCL - Required Mainframe/host experience - required IBM z/OS MQ mainframe - required Experience creating/maintaining a queue manager and queues - required - this requirement is VERY important Nice to have/Preferred skills: CICS - desired IBM WebSphere MQ - desired Cobol - desired Unix & zlinux - nice to have *Currently working with MQ version 9.3*
