Job Summary:

The Senior IT Solutions Architect will provide high-level technical leadership, architecture design, and hands-on support. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, delivering expert guidance across SharePoint, Power Platform, and broader Microsoft cloud technologies, while promoting best practices in architecture, development, and DevSecOps in a Scaled Agile environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced technologist who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring teams, and ensuring technical excellence across solution delivery.

This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical authority on architecture and development across project solutions.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide expert recommendations to reduce technical debt and enhance system performance.

  • Recommend, design, and oversee implementation of innovative solutions, acting as an Enterprise, Systems, or Solution Architect as needed.

  • Lead and enforce development and DevSecOps best practices, performing oversight through code and process reviews.

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Guide the development team through technical roadblocks to ensure alignment with sprint goals and technical standards.

  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to refine user stories and acceptance criteria from a technical perspective.

  • Ensure the consistency and quality of deliverables produced by the contract team through direct oversight and mentorship.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years' experience with SharePoint, including SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online.

  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

  • 2+ years' experience with ActiveDocs.

  • Experience providing architectural oversight in a Scaled Agile environment.

  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and related tools and processes.

  • Experience performing technical reviews and providing mentoring to development teams.

  • Experience with ITIL V4 Foundation practices and service management.

  • Participation in Agile delivery, including refinement, standups, planning, retrospectives, and backlog management.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance.

Certifications Required:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform (any specialization)

  • At least one cloud fundamentals certification (e.g., Azure Fundamentals): Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals

  • ITIL V4 Foundation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating Microsoft technologies within regulated or complex enterprise environments.

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and enterprise governance standards.

  • Experience mentoring and upskilling Agile teams from a technical leadership role.

  • Exposure to cloud-native architecture and modern security principles.
