Position Summary

The Executive Director of Technology provides technical leadership, vision, direction and mentoring to the Technology team and plays an integral role in the growth and continued development of the bank's business and digital services, automation and data strategies. The leader is responsible for Business Systems, Automation, Data Governance, Network & Infrastructure, Telecommunications, and Technology Support to improve operations and efficiencies throughout the organization. The leader partners with regional banking and operational teams to ensure technology initiatives meet long-term business goals while managing the internal data environment to support data analytics solutions and identifying technology investment and innovation opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Executive Team to develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy while establishing and enforcing standards relating to the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of purchased or internally built technology solutions.
  • Work with product management/development teams to define long-term roadmaps for technical products or product lines.
  • Schedule or coordinate the deployment of upgrades or enhancements to minimize downtime or loss of productivity.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and evaluate their value to the organization.
  • Evaluate existing technology resources and recommend new technologies or upgrades/enhancements to existing technologies to create efficiencies or improve business performance.
  • Create strategic priorities, plans and policies, in partnership with the Executive team on the priorities, technology, and systems needs for the organization.
  • Create and oversee high-level KPIs for the Technology department.
  • Manage critical technology vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Create and manage all technology budgets for the company.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide leadership oversight and assistance with M&A related integration projects as needed.
  • Lead Supervise the technology team; assist in recruiting and onboarding of all technology team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Reliable and predictable attendance, whether onsite or remote.
Education & Experience
  • Knowledge of:
    • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
    • Strategic thinking and technical expertise
    • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to:
    • Develop new procedures and approaches to solve problems.
    • Multi-task and work independently.
    • Collect and analyze data, draw sound conclusions and formulate recommendations.
    • Think strategically to create business-led solutions.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships at all levels throughout the organization.
    • Travel locally and out of state, which may require overnight stays.
  • Education and Training:
    • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required; Master's/Advanced Degree Preferred
    • 15+ years' experience in information technology or business systems; financial services experience preferred
    • 3-5 years of experience in a senior-level oversight and leadership role, managing a complex technology team.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $230,000-$325,000 annually)
