The Assistant Director of Admissions plays a key role in executing the university's strategic recruitment plan. This individual will represent Embry-Riddle in a variety of forums and work to meet targeted enrollment goals through effective outreach, relationship-building, and ongoing communication with prospective students and key influencers.

This position requires a dynamic, self-motivated, and student-centered individual with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the college admissions process, and a commitment to promoting the mission and values of Embry-Riddle.

Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, write information clearly, and complete standard forms.

  • Experience:

    • 0-1 year of related work experience required.

    • At least one year of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field is preferred.

    • A combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong public relations and interpersonal skills; ability to engage positively with diverse populations.

    • Effective listening and active engagement skills.

    • Self-motivated, self-assured, and able to follow through on tasks and projects.

    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 8-10 weeks per academic year).

    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and minor holidays as needed.

    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

    • Willingness to support colleagues in their assigned territories, including travel and delivering presentations when needed.

    • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with information systems.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), and internet-based applications
