As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks an Assistant Track Leader to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by serving as a leader within one of our tracks within the Missionary Disciples Institute.

As an assistant track leader, this role will be serve as someone who accompanies youth as they journey through the missionary disciples' institute, developing their mission plans, and dream about how they can lead their communities back home. Assistant track leaders will work alongside the track leader (faculty staff member at Marian University) and college mentors (current Marian University college students) to develop track sessions focusing on a particular ministry of the church.

An assistant track leader is someone who is a self-starter and especially a key collaborator on their track team. Assistant track leaders need to be someone who is able to present Marian University in a positive and professional way to diverse populations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Coordinates, designs and implements track sessions alongside a track team as assigned by the MDI leadership
  • Assists with immersion experience on the Thursday of the week of MDI
  • Collaborates with Track leaders, college mentors, other assistant track leaders, and the director of MDI.
  • Participate in all track sessions, opening sessions, and closing mission fair and commissioning mass. (schedule to be provided)
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the director of the Missionary Disciples Institute.

To be qualified for this position the candidate must have:



  • A bachelor's degree
  • or an equivalent terminal degree, as well as at least 2 years of ministry/field experience.
