We're hiring a Business Devlopment Officer to join our Lehigh Valley Team. Responsibilities Learn the various financial products Univest has available for sale and how they help small businesses. Cross-sell other bank services by collaborating with other areas of the bank to enhance the overall marketing effort of the corporation. Manage relationships including a COI network. Accountable for developing new prospects and obtaining new clients for Univest. Be knowledgeable about a customer's business and plans for the future, as well as the customer's borrowing needs and ability to repay debt. Increase visibility in the bank's sales and marketing area by participating in business, service and other non-profit community organizations. Ability to build relationships with financial service center managers, lenders and members of all business lines facilitating an air of teamwork, alliance and success. Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: Customer-focusedpersonwith strong knowledge of sales and ability to learn banking insurance and investment products and processes with 5-8 years sales experience. Ability to cross-sell products along with proven sales and product expertise with business clients. Strong community involvement in geographic area. Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent experience in related area desired. Trained in financial product sales and business-to-business selling required. Self-starter has the ability to handle most problems/exceptions in aself-reliantmanner, self-motivated and a team player. Someone who values team results over personal results. Achievement-orientedpersonwith strongguidanceandcommunication skills.
