The Opportunity
As a Tax Analyst at TC Energy, you will be part of a dynamic and cohesive team where you will have the unique opportunity to develop and grow your career while gaining comprehensive exposure to both tax compliance and tax reporting. What you'll do

  • Prepare federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly tax provisions, reconciling current and deferred taxes
  • Prepare and review depreciation reports used for return filings and forecasts
  • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax installments
  • Assist in income tax accounting and reporting functions
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify issues for planning purposes
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in federal and/or state income tax
  • Demonstrated ability to use tax research tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in using tax research tools
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player
  • Accountable and proactive in meeting commitments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of OneSource tax software and PowerTax fixed asset software
  • Working knowledge of SAP and BPC
  • Regulatory accounting experience
