Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as an Enterprise Delivery Manager!


About the role

The Enterprise Delivery Manager, part of the Strategic Realization Office (SRO), leads a centralized team of Scrum Masters responsible for enabling high-performance agile delivery across the enterprise. This role ensures that product and technology teams are set up for success in implementing strategic priorities by embedding strong agile delivery practices, encouraging team-level agility, and removing systemic impediments. As a key member of the SRO, the Enterprise Delivery Lead connects strategy to execution by driving delivery excellence, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, and championing adaptive ways of working aligned with enterprise goals.


What you'll do in this role:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to Scrum Masters supporting multiple multi-functional product teams.
  • Develop frameworks to improve team-level performance, velocity, predictability, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply systems thinking to identify and address cross-cutting organizational bottlenecks that hinder team flow.
  • Partner with functional leads to escalate and resolve systemic impediments.
  • Advocate for structural improvements to support sustainable delivery.
  • Build a high-performing Scrum Master team through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Support career progression, onboarding, and agile skill uplift across the delivery organization.
  • Cultivate a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • As a delivery leader within the SRO, ensure alignment between enterprise strategy and team-level execution.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Portfolio leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans.
  • Help teams mature their agile practices to deliver against strategic outcomes, OKRs, and value streams.
  • Shape operating models and delivery capabilities that drive tangible business value.
  • Develop and track delivery metrics (e.g., throughput, cycle time, predictability) that drive insight and accountability.
  • Provide insight to collaborators through regular reporting and retrospectives.
  • Champion agile transformation by influencing approach, behavior, and process across departments.

Compensation

Salary Range: $125,000 - $208,400 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.


Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced coursework in organizational leadership, agile coaching, or lean portfolio management.
  • 8-10 years of experience in technology delivery roles, with 3+ years leading or coaching Scrum Masters or agile delivery professionals. Deep experience with enterprise-scale agile transformations or agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or custom hybrid models) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed enterprise or regulated industry preferred. Consistent record navigating sophisticated collaborator landscapes and balancing contending priorities.
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), ICAgile Certified Expert (ICE-AC or ICE-AT), or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels. Adept at using metrics and insights to drive decisions. Proven ability to develop psychological safety, build high-trust environments, and lead through ambiguity.
