Under general supervision, the Histotechnologist performs all aspects of histologic slide preparations for diagnosis including routine and special tests, maintenance and quality control, and computer functions.Education:
*Associate's degree in science with at least two (2) years of full-time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years OR *Successful completion of an accredited histotechnology program, registry eligible OR *Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of full time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years. Licensure: Certification as a registered HT or HTL by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) preferred. Experience: Dependent upon level of education acquired Skills: *Knowledge of histologic theory, practices, and standards *Skills in cellular evaluation and interpretation *Skill in oral, written and interpersonal communication *Skill in basic computers *Skill in basic mathematics, data analysis and problem solving *Ability to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment. *Ability to prioritize work, organize and transfer data accurately. Pay Range $26.53 - $43.50Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
