We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours:Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Hourly Rate of Pay:$23.02

Sign On Bonus Opportunity:$1500

  • $500 at 90th day of hire, $500 at 180th day of hire, $500 at 365th day of hire
  • Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Primary Function

TheSafety Specialist will support operations tasks comprising work programs environment. It also conducts security reviews and audits and ensures the proper maintenance of the chemical room and disposition of hazardous waste and non-hazardous according to local environmental regulatory standards, federal and corporate.

Responsibilities
  • Performs safety tours and reports immediately any aspect of health, safety or environmental detected.
  • Participate in accident investigation, gathering information from each and every one involved.
  • Check field compliance programs, safety and environmental.
  • Participate in cross audits 5's.
  • Participates in audits and safety checks, environmental hygiene and both internal and external.
  • Contributes to meeting the goals of safety, health and environment, and quality and productivity.
  • Assists in the evaluation and determination of the personal protective equipment to be used in a working operation.
  • Auxiliary safety induction and environment to new personnel and outside contractors.
  • Managing chemical room, kept up to date records showing the inputs and outputs of chemical Safety Data Sheets.
  • Actively involved in health and safety committee if required.
  • Manages the handling of chemical products quarter.
  • Controls the handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Maintains and coordinates the actions of inputs and outputs Waste Temporary Storage, leading the Logger control it.
  • Review and Revision of the farms receiving Dust Collector when needed.
  • Auxiliary and control reception and check-susceptible non-hazardous waste for recycling such as paper, cardboard, wood, etc.
  • Coordination and cleanliness Sedimentation pits and traps oils and fats production.
  • Aids in the emergency plans of the company.
  • Actively involved in emergency brigade.
  • Conducts audits to assess compliance of the points described above.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Regulates waste and garbage outputs.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree preferred; 1 year of related work experience preferred
  • Training middle of the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS)
  • Standards, Safety and Industrial Hygiene, Environmental experience
  • Risk analysis experience
  • Computer Skills (MS Office, analyzing data)
  • Continuous Improvement Methodology experience
  • Handling chemicals experience
  • Time Management experience
  • Material management and control experience
Education
Associate Degree in Related Field
Physical Requirements
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
