Summary of Position The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for providing logistics support, managing and resolving tickets and complaints, generating data metrics reports, troubleshooting issues, and escalating any problems or concerns. The ideal candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics operations. Key Job Elements
- Provide logistics support by coordinating and managing the movement of goods, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Handle and resolve tickets and complaints related to logistics operations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Generate data metrics reports to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics activities, such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot logistics-related issues, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to find timely solutions.
- Escalate any significant issues, challenges, or concerns to the appropriate stakeholders, including management, to ensure prompt resolution and minimize potential disruptions to operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of logistics activities, including inventory levels, transportation schedules, and delivery details.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of logistics processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to logistics operations, and propose innovative ideas to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in regular meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
- QC of returned shipping boxes, discarding any boxes that are damaged or covered with patient stickers
- Builds kits to be shipped to clients with the necessary supplies for specimen transport to CSI
- Assists shipping supplies to our clients, including kits and RPMI
- Ensure samples are delivered and/or picked up ,as necessary.
- Be at the specified pick-up and/or drop off locations at the times specified, within reason.
- Ensure that all samples are safely and securely stored in the courier vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records, including vehicle logs, pick-up/drop off logs and client communications.
- Report any accidents, delays, or any other traffic and transportation situations for required follow-up by Supervisor.
- Respond to all calls or voicemails in regards to pick-ups, missed pick-ups or additional instructions.
- Maintain an accident and citation free record.
- Assists with the return of client materials via FedEx and/or CSI courier
- Other duties may be assigned by Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience
- Has earned minimum of a high school diploma. Sufficient previous work experiences in the listed fields can substitute educational requirements.
- Clean driving record
- Must have great work ethics and immaculate attention to detail.
- Must be proactive and be able to discover issues and report or take necessary measures immediately.
- An enthusiastic learner and a great team player.
Additional Skills
- Written and verbal communication skill.
- Knowledge in Outlook, Excel and Word etc.
- Computer operating and web browsing skill.
