Job Objective

The Label Room Attendant role is accountable to ensures security of labels from intake to distribution. Role incumbents reconciles process orders and inventory to ensure compliance with the Food & Drug Administration, delivers materials to and from storage and designated work sites, and uses Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) to process orders/materials. The Label Room Attendant provides support and coordination to production lines to ensure conformance to schedule and procedures ensures continuous operation. This role assures compliance to packaging quality systems internally as well as outside contract manufacturers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile process orders in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
  • Maintains security of labels and label environment per established procedures.
  • Verifies availability of required components and supplies, notifies appropriate parties when components are unavailable to avoid downtime due to material shortage.
  • Verify part numbers, order numbers, lot numbers and quantities to ensure accuracy.
  • Process paperwork according to established current Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).
  • Use Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) software to: Investigate inventory or material discrepancies, Issue components to production orders; return components from production orders, issue outbound and sample components, adjust inventory as necessary, run reports for staging, query materials for a variety of purposes, stage materials to fill orders, receive and store materials into system from suppliers or production returns, or locate and retrieve materials from storage locations (both automated and static racking locations)
  • Perform visual quality checks of inventory and contact Global Quality Management Inspection (GQMI) with concerns
  • Operate powered industrial transporation (PIT) equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and training
  • Operate Hanel Lean Lift, scales, pharmaceutical grade label counter, and other label processing equipment.
  • Follow established safety procedures and report any safety concerns immediately.
  • Locate and Rotate inventory as necessary
  • Serve as a backup to other members of the team.
  • Process "on hold" or scrap materials according to procedure.
  • Perform or assist with cycle count activity as needed.
  • Load and unload racks
  • Perform Housekeeping Duties
  • Assist with orientation and training of new employees.
  • Complete special assignments that are identified.
  • Infrequent travel for training or benchmarking purposes.
  • Team with others to resolve internal or external customer complaints.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience - Required

High School education with three (3) to (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment or, Associates degree with two (2) to three (3) years of experience in manufacturing environment.

Must be able to use basic measuring devices, a calculator, operate simple equipment and have basic computer skills.

Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
