Job Description
Building Hope Community Life Center - 309 West 9th St Greenville NC 27834 - is currently seeking several Camp Assistants.

Building Hope Community Life Center is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic Work-Study Students to assist with our dynamic and mission-driven Summer Camp Program. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to support youth development, foster creativity, and gain hands-on experience in a faith-based, community-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage with youth in grades K-8 during structured activities, field trips, and free time
  • Assist in implementing daily camp programming including STEAM projects, reading labs, recreational play, arts & crafts, and team-building games
  • Support students in maintaining positive behavior and following camp rules
  • Help lead devotionals and character-building lessons in collaboration with staff
  • Assist with snack and meal distribution
  • Provide one-on-one or small group academic support as needed
  • Set up and clean up activity stations and maintain cleanliness of common areas
  • Collaborate with other team members to create a safe, fun, and encouraging environment
  • Serve as a positive role model, reflecting the values and mission of Building Hope

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Qualifications:

  • Must be a current college student eligible for Federal Work-Study funding
  • Passion for working with children and youth, especially in underserved communities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Experience in camps, youth programs, ministry, or education preferred- but not required
