Job Summary: The Service Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring of Machine Rebuilds. Scheduling and follow up will be critical to maximize the day-to-day Machine Rebuild operations efficiency. Responsibilities also include supervision and interactions of all departments and vendors that are utilized throughout the various phases and scopes of rebuild projects.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:




  • Ensures that customers' expectations regarding communication, information and updates are met and/or exceeded
  • Creates, maintains and communicates Primary Machine Rebuild Schedule to all stakeholders.
  • Monitors and reviews leads from the Rebuild Sales Funnel
  • Creates Job Scope Documentation
  • Plans and prioritizes parts order submissions
  • Determines and executes rebuild work schedules timelines for project completion, and plans and schedules critical milestones of the production process to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Assist Service Manager with cost estimates and develop budget plans for all projects
  • Communicates status workflow and collaborates with all cross functional departments to maintain quality assurance for all activities
  • Monitors, evaluates and reports the ongoing status of rebuild projects operationally and financially
  • Assists to identify and resolve all issues in operations and manage all communication for all schedule disruptions
  • Identifies problems, analyze risk, and improve processes to ensure quality
  • Analysis of completed work orders for Parts and Labor accuracy. Completes feedback loop with Standard Jobs team.
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned



    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



    • Knowledge in project management practices, procedures, and processes
    • Computer and related software knowledge and/or experience and the ability to learn/use new computer programs to include MS Office products including MS Project
    • Knowledge of basic office practices, procedures, and processes
    • Understand how to use data visualization tools to reports timelines and project updates
    • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
    • Time management and time-critical prioritization skills
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees, team members, and management
    • Self-starter and ability to work independently
    • Ability to operate office machines and computers
    • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, coworkers, customers (internal and external), or the general public



    Education and Experience:




    • Minimum of three years' experience in planning, scheduling and/or project management or five years' experience in heavy equipment or construction management preferred
    • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in related field Preferred

    • None


    Travel:



    • Travel is not expected for this position


    Physical Requirements:



    • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, the occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
    • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
    • Occasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 25 lbs.


    Work Environment:



    • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment and in a shop environment
    • Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
