How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Android Application Engineer will be responsible for implementing the architecture, functionality, and pixel perfect design of our flagship mobile safety application. As the Senior Android Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our strategic innovation roadmap in 2025. Your work will reach numerous enterprise customers and millions of consumers. Your contributions will enhance safety and access to critical safety services for thousands of families, vulnerable individuals, and travelers.

What you'll do:

• Develop high quality and performant mobile application code in accordance with product and technical specifications that scale to millions of users.

• Maintain close bilateral collaboration with product managers, architectural leadership and closely align execution with the needs of the organization.

• Closely collaborate with peers across the organization, participate actively in code reviews.

• Actively participate in product-focused requirements and refinement discussions related to technical execution.

• Contribute directly to a culture of innovation by driving fast moving, iterative product development with maintained technical excellence.

What you'll need:

• Minimum 6 years of mobile application development of large-scale consumer mobile applications.

• Experience in logging, monitoring and support in large scale mobile deployments.

• Experience with Kotlin programming language.

• Nice to have experience with AWS platform

• Nice to have experience with Crashlytics/Sentry/BugSnag or similar tools

• Nice to have experience with High volume real time messaging systems/MQTT

• Nice to have experience with OAUTH

• Eager to work in a product-driven development culture focusing on product outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must have a legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $95,100 to $170,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
