Merchandising Insights Manager (Accessories) - 4+ years experience

Retail & Digital Merchandising Team

This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Cupertino, CA (in-office 3 days per week).


Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and strategic merchant who can effectively balance multiple priorities while building strong cross-functional relationships. This role plays a key part in managing and optimizing the assortment of third-party accessories for a major retail and online platform, ensuring these products meet the same high standards as internally developed offerings.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or product development
  • Passion for retail and product strategy with a strong foundation in product lifecycle management and market trend analysis
  • Proficient in Excel/Numbers with strong data analysis and forecasting skills
  • Familiar with assortment planning, vendor management, and product marketing collaboration
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, operations, and marketing
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proactive, curious, and committed to fostering an inclusive environment


Job Description:
In this role, you will define the assortment of third-party accessories, ensuring alignment with platform standards and customer expectations.
You'll partner with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and refine products that elevate the experience of key technologies and services. This includes conducting detailed performance analysis, supporting exclusive product initiatives, and identifying growth opportunities through market research.

You will also own product lifecycle management from initial forecasting through end-of-life, supporting the team's commercial success and contributing to strategic insights that drive product performance.


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Background in retail merchandising, vendor partnerships, or product development
  • Experience managing a P&L and delivering against commercial targets

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $52.00 - $57.40 per hour

This position may be eligible for benefits such as PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
