UDR is seeking qualified candidates for aSenior Quality Control Engineer (Civil/Structural) opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.
Senior Quality Control Engineer (Civil/Structural) Close Date: 5/30/2025 Job #-1387 DUTIES Provide quality control support to the project team and direct personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results. Perform construction quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of project and/or maintenance activities. Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules. and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Review design output documents in accordance with approved procedures in order to establish inspection requirements in quality assurance procedures, construction plans, and/or work packages. Coordinate with internal and external sources to resolve quality issues and provide status of the inspection/test activities for the work activity. Review technical criteria, personnel qualications and work sequence on work packages including the notation of hold points prior to performance of inspections. Perform or direct the quality inspection activities of subordinate QC engineers and other inspection personnel as assigned. Assist in resolution of code, specications and drawing interpretations. Perform or supervise the performance of inspection, witness, test, surveillance, and documents the results of the inspection activities. Assess the completeness of construction activities and quality verication documentation prior to preparation of quality control releases for turnover. Review subcontractor's quality program for compliance to established procedures, attends mobilization meetings and monitors their activities for proper implementation. Review suppliers and/or subcontractor's quality verication documentation for traceability and specication compliance. Review, assess and status subcontractors' costs, manpower and materials. Approve subcontracts invoices and application for payment. Work Hours: A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; ve days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, ve days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30- minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
