Great Hill Solutions is seeking an experienced Operational Planner to support the United States Air Forces Central (USAFENT) at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The right candidate will provide planning support with high-level analytical services for both operations and exercises in the USAFCENT area of operations (AOR). Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advise and assist USAFCENT's operational and strategic planners. Assist in the development of current and future planning documents IAW the Joint Operational Planning and Execution System.
- Assist with Global Force Management planning guidance for USAFCENT forces in the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) AOR.
- Assist in the planning and sustainment of all aspects of Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) support for USAFCENT during current and future contingency and steady state operations to include exercise planning and execution.
- Review and provide recommended updates to operation and concept plans, exercise plans, and other planning documents as needed.
- Assist in the conduct of theater level processes resulting in the development of Air Tasking Orders and/or Air Battle Plans.
- Provide briefings to senior officers in person, via VTC and/or in writing on ongoing theater operations, planning issues, and exercises.
- Support planning and execution of joint and component exercises in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Attend/participate in exercise conferences as directed. Conduct all administrative requirements to facilitate exercise planning, briefs, and travel.
- Serve as subject matter expert for the respective exercises with military service component and joint partners for assigned exercises.
- Develop and manage long range exercise schedules with Air Combat Command, United States Air Force Warfare Center, and Headquarters Air Force.
- Travel both CONUS and OCONUS to support planning and exercise efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be eligible for SAP access.
- 10+ years of experience in military operations, planning, or intelligence.
- Experience supporting Combatant Command (CCMD), Component MAJCOM, or Joint operational planning activities (JOPES, APEX, JPP).
Desired Skills:
- JPME Phase I or II graduate.
- Experience supporting USCENTCOM, USAFCENT, or Middle East operational theaters.
- Strong writing, briefing, and coordination skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior military and civilian leaders.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
