Job Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 2 Desktop Support Specialist to join our desktop support team and ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support services to our organization. The Level 2 Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing advanced technical assistance, leading training initiatives, and serving as a mentor to junior team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of desktop support technicians, providing guidance, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues, resolving complex problems and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of desktop support team members.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to identify and address recurring technical issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry's best practices, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
  • Function as a liaison between the desktop support team and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Seven years of Desktop Support experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position, (in lieu of college education).
    Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
  • Valid California Drivers License and reliable transportation are required.

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range: $32.24 - $33.00 USD

Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
