Overview

CJE SeniorLife Supportive Services create a caring environment dedicated to helping older adults stay independent and connected. Whether it's securing legal or financial assistance, making connections with new friends, or getting support through challenging times, we match older adults with the right program to address their immediate and long-term needs. Services we provide include benefits services, care management, caregiver resources, counseling services, food services, Holocaust Community services, and legal services. We are part of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

This position will collaborate across departments to support the development and implementation of the compliance program, safety programs, and risk management. This role is integral to ensuring compliance and risk management across the organization through compliance monitoring, audits, and safety risk assessments. This role will also support documentation and training needs based on regulatory requirements and audit findings as applicable to federal, state, and local laws and internal policies.

Compensation: $55,000 to $70,000 per year

Shift

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Perform compliance-related monitoring initiatives, regular assessments and audits of departmental documentation, policies and procedures, and other initiatives.
  • Document and maintain schedules for monitoring activities, audits and assessments to align with the strategic goals of both the organization and the compliance, risk, and audit departments.
  • Collaborate with managers across the organizations to schedule assessments, monitor initiatives, and internal audits and any follow-ups to remediate audit concerns and mitigate risks.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting including potential compliance/risk issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the compliance program and risk management strategies throughout the organization, partnering with various departments to address and mitigate risk strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, legislation, and best practices.
  • Understand and document organizational risks and compliance requirements across the organizational departments.
  • Support additional compliance and risk management related needs across the organization as needed and requested.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Requirements

Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Regulatory compliance and/or testing and monitoring experience in healthcare or elder services.
  • Strong exposure in the implementation, training and monitoring of business operations for compliance with laws and regulations and with the established policies and procedures is required.


Other Qualifications



  • Proficient and self-efficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with other compliance related projects and initiatives is required.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently or in collaboration with the team.
