Job Purpose: Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to build and expand the Retail and Consignment business offerings. This includes market analysis, competitor assessment, and identifying potential partnerships or acquisitions. Collaborate with offer owners and cross-functional teams to develop market entry strategies and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders. 2. Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business activities for our Retail offer by continuing to expand our MSO relationships, geographic footprint and grow our market share. Develop new and / or improved offerings to achieve high return yield deals that strengthen our market position alongside major suppliers. Expand the Consignment offer coverage through key markets growth. 3. Business Performance: This role is the commercial owner for both Retail and Consignment business offers. As such, it is accountable for the overall performance of these offers, including financial and performance outcomes, sales channels, go-to-market strategy, and profitability. 4. Consignment Operations Management: Ensure the implementation of operational standards in the Consignment business to ensure stores/locations are compliant, efficient and financially sound. Line up processes, resources and tools to ensure best operational practices at consignment stores. Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and consignment cycles. Implement best practices for pricing, merchandising, and customer service. 5. Consignment Partnership Management: Maintain strategic partnerships with Operators, industry leaders, local government and regulatory agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. Leverage these relationships to drive business growth through strategic partnerships or other agreement structures. 6. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship, which may be direct or indirect to a team. Lead the performance of the team directly involved in Retail and Consignment activities and network with cross-functional commercial, operational and functional teams that support these offerings. Engage high potential talent and foster a collaborative work environment that encourages success, innovation and continuous improvement. 7. Industry Trends Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry trends, policy changes, technological advancements, market dynamics related to supported business offers.
