Responsibilities

Join Our Team as a Utilization Review Specialist!

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of clients seeking recovery? We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Utilization Review Specialist to join our dynamic team!

In this pivotal role, you will manage an active caseload across various Levels of Care, including Detox, Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient. You'll be the crucial link between insurance companies, clients, their families, and our Clinical Team, ensuring seamless communication and support throughout the treatment journey.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate & Communicate: Schedule and conduct initial, concurrent, peer, and retrospective reviews with precision, utilizing your clinical knowledge to advocate for our clients' needs.
  • Optimize Benefits: Manage reviews to maximize coverage and benefits while representing our Utilization Review Department with professionalism and positivity.
  • Keep Families Informed: Maintain regular contact with clients' families, providing them with timely updates on insurance authorizations, peer reviews, and any denials.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with clinicians and the multidisciplinary team to gather essential clinical documentation and ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Engage in Team Meetings: Participate in weekly Treatment Team and Continuing Care Meetings to stay aligned and informed.
  • Prepare Appeals: Take charge of preparing and submitting appeal documentation, including rationales, to ensure our clients receive the care they deserve.
  • Document with Precision: Keep detailed records of all activities in our CRM/EMR systems, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in the behavioral health field. Your background will help us provide the best care possible!

Licensure:

  • An active license or credential in a behavioral health field is preferred. Show us your credentials and let's make a difference together!

Education:

    • A Bachelor's or Master's in a behavioral health-related specialty is preferred. Your educational background will be a valuable asset in our mission!
