Position Title: Intern Business Unit: Legal Reports To: Senior Corporate Counsel
Position Overview: As an intern at F.N.B. Corporation, you will have the opportunity to experiencethe support the Legal Department provides to the bank on a daily basis, including: general branch questions, human resources issues, general and complex litigation, and regulatory matters. You will have the opportunity to observe first-hand how the Bank's Legal Department works internally, or with the assistance of outside counsel, to satisfy the needs of businesses and consumers, as well as employees and executive management.
Primary Responsibilities: Learn aggressively: Be open to new ideas and concepts, ask questions and be intellectually curious. Areas of focus vary from general legal research on uncommon issues, as well as assisting corporate counsel with legal document review and revision(employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, non-solicitation/non-competition agreements, pleadings). Analyze: Improve the quality of decision making by performing an appropriate and thorough analysis. Potential examples include issue spotting, critical thinking, and general legal projects. Communicate well: Deliver information in a clear, logical and effective manner. Convey information both in writing and orally. Flex style to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group and large-group settings. Possible examples include meetings, training sessions, email communication and conference calls. Display Teamwork: Work well with others to achieve group goals. Willing to leverage the experiences of members to generate improved results and maximum performance. Lead and follow with effectiveness. Willing to voice dissent and ask difficult questions. Listen, to learn. Get Results: Be accountable, responsible for the output of one's effort.
