Video: What We Do

The Senior Expert of Military Programs is responsible for managing internal and external relationships to execute operational plans to achieve stated operational goals. You will maintain, strengthen, grow, and add military programs driving collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve organizational financial and growth targets.

Job Duties:



  • Manage existing Military Programs to meet/exceed budgeted revenue and profit targets as well as operational and customers satisfaction goals.
  • Establish strong bid and proposal process and manage cross functional teams to ensure timely submittals balancing win rate and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain review process to prioritize opportunities and build business cases for New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure timely execution of new or restoration of old product development.
  • Establish customer program office and technical team relationships to determine value creation using Chromalloy third party engineered parts solutions, that include new manufactured parts and part repairs approved under a Source Approval Request (SAR) package.
  • Represent Chromalloy to the external marketplace during customer visits and industry events.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of progressive experience including at least 5 years in program and / or product management roles. Past Business Development experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the DoD Source Approval Request (SAR) and procurement processes, including the establishment of an NSN National Stock Number, IDIQ, UCA and other contracting methodologies.
  • Have experience and relationships with USAF (including Tinker), US Navy, Defense Logistics Agency, AeroEngine Independent Engine Maintenance Depots and other foreign military organizations.
  • Technical understanding of aero-engine maintenance, replacement cycles, component and accessory repair.
  • Intimate knowledge of military and commercial aero engine market, life cycle, service intervals and part failure modes helpful.
  • Knowledge of salvage, surplus, DER repair and SAR repair of propulsion Critical Safety Items (CSI) and Critical Application Items (CAI).
  • Ability to motivate internal stakeholders to achieve Military Program goals and targets including employees without direct reporting assignments to the Military Sales Office.
  • Good computer experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively as required. This could frequently exceed 1 week per month.
