Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for a Configuration Management Specialist in Charleston, SC to support our customer at NIWC LANT.

The ideal candidate for this position will have proven technical configuration management experience in a technology-driven program or project supporting the US Navy. You Will:



  • Provide hardware, software, and documentation configuration management and process control support for unclassified and classified systems and associated documentation
  • Provide Engineering Change Request (ECR) support and configuration management through the life-cycle stages in CMPro.
  • Specific tasks include using software package audit tools, managing baselines, and supporting organizational process teams
  • Manage and document all required change requests to ensure reproducible configuration baselines
  • Execute release and change control functions using the designated software configuration management system/tool in order to ensure software product integrity and meet program schedules
  • Perform configuration management Local Configuration Control Board (LCCB) and Engineering activities which include, but are not limited to, establishing the agenda, recording approvals/non-approvals, maintaining ECRs and Use Cases, and publishing and maintaining action items lists
  • Develop proficiency in the use of assigned software configuration management system/tool and comprehensive knowledge of configuration management processes and standards
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
  • Assist the IPT in procurement, tracking, managing, and auditing minor property IAW with NIWC LANT processes.
  • FCRB documentation, replication and workflow.


You Have:



  • US Citizenship
  • Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • At least six years supporting DoD IT programs to include: information technology or software engineering projects in areas of data collection and analysis, development of program status reports, and experience in reverse engineer requirements from external sources to support operational objectives
  • At least three years of experience in hardware and software configuration management
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal assistance
  • At least five years of experience with basic computer applications, operating systems, databases, and hardware
  • At least five years of experience with developing, preparing, editing, and reviewing various technical documents, briefs, manuals, procedures, and specifications
  • At least two years of experience with Engineering Change Requests in CMPro
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience in FCRB documentation is a plus
  • Experience analyzing, assessing, developing, and implementing processes and adhere to time requirements and schedule
  • Excellent communication, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting ability
  • Effective Customer Service skills and capabilities; including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or externally
