Provides assistance with clinical research projects related to the MGB Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Treatment and Research Initiative, including an investigational drug clinical trial, neuroimaging research, and projects related to biospecimen collection and analysis for the Harvard Biomarkers Study.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes The RA position will include direct patient contact as part of clinical trial work and also includes coordination for projects that involve biospecimen collection (Harvard Biomarker study) as well as radiographic (MRI) studies. Essential Functions: - Coordinates clinical research visits - Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting. - Study cohort management. - Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents. - Assists with preparing progress reports with basic prescriptive statistics. - Assists with IRB submissions and other regulatory paperwork. - Gathers information to aid in the development of future research proposals. - Trains and orients new staff. Education: Master's Degree in Public Health Preferred.

Working conditions: Work throughout the hospital areas such as clinic, labs, clinical trials center. Must be able to go independently to the investigational drug services pharmacy on L-2 to pick up investigational product, to clinic on ground and first floor. Daily operations conducted in open office cube space. May be required to lift boxes to ship to central lab or boxes of lab supplies.
