Registered Nurse ICU

The ICU is an 18 bed critical care unit compiled of medical intensive care patients. The ICU nurses are the rapid response team of the hospital and respond to all codes and rapids. Our unit prides itself on team work, accountability, and integrity while providing the patient's with the best patient experience we can obtain. What makes us unique is our 24/7 intensified coverage and our resident program.
COMMON DIAGNOSES: Sepsis, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac/Respiratory Arrest, DKA, Shock, Gastric bleeding, Stroke, Overdose, Alcohol Withdrawal

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
